When I went to connect my new TSU500(NEO) to my IBM R31 ThinkPad I noticed I don't have a serial port. I only have USB's. Is there any adapters available? Does Pronto have USB connectors?

Nevermind, I just got off the phone with Philips and the NEO will not work with a USB - Serial adapter cable. Luckily I have another IBM Thikpad with a serial port otherwise the remote would be going back. I however was a little frustrated that Philips didn't touch on this anywhere/anyhow. Their new remotes TSU3000 and another one are USB compatable as per the tech that I talked to.

I don't know about the NEO, but a lot of people use the Pronto and adapter. Try a search on this forum.

C. You can use a Belkin USB/Serial laptop adapter. I found mine at Comp USA it comes with drivers for Win98, 2000, ME and XP. I disabled my internal modem(unused) and set Adapter to COM3 as it seems NEOEdit would not see COM's 9 and up. Works great!
