After purchasing the neo I immediately installed the latest NeoEdit software and the firmware revision software. While running the firmware revision I received the "Invalid CF version or corrupt flash"
error. I reset the remote and now it's dead. I called the Pronto hotline today 888-486-6272, the operator immediately told me to return it. She said she spent two hours on the phone with someone yesterday with no success and did not want to waste my time. They have no clue what the problem is.

The usual suggestion here is to keep retrying the firmware update until it works. For me it worked on the 2nd try, though I never performed a remote reset.

I'd suggest trying the update a few more times before giving up.

I have tried reinstalling the firmware. But when I say it's dead, I mean it's DEAD! No power. The only thing I have not tried is different batteries, but I think that is grasping for straws.

the firmware update most importantly adds some flash memory along with the ability to calibrate the touch screen.
