Seems that when you use NEOEdit 1.3 and the latest firmware, you can only link from devices above the one you are linking to and have it save in the .ncf file correctly. I experienced this especially with the Hard Buttons. I use my receiver for all audio and want all the hard button Vol +/- and Mutes to point to the Receiver. I think Allamand mentioned the fix for the Device Overview hard buttons about linking before downloading to the device, but the saved file won't keep the settings.
After a weekend of playing with the NEO, I like it, it does what I wanted, but it is a bit difficult to get working correctly, I should say that NEO Edit is a bit difficult to get working correctly. The fact that it simply downloads XML files, however, should make it easy to edit once all my device codes are learned. As someone else mentioned, the .xml file in the .ncf file lists everything the device gets, which should make editing discrete codes, etc. possible.
Overall, a very good device for the price, I'm glad Philips added an upload feature, otherwise I would have returned it.
