Still unsure about the NEO - seems more difficult than the 2000 and even the Marantz 5200 (5000i with buttons). 3 Days trying to make it work - some progress.

I've noticed a very annoying hard reset when I complet some downloads. No real way to predict and all I lose is the current date and time, as well as backlight, etc.

Any thoughts are appreciated...

I just started to set my neo up. I am not clear on what they are trying to communicate. I have a Dennon amplifier, so I selected Dennon as the tuner (it doesn't work). The Preamp doesn't offer the Dennon brand. I am also confused with the DBS, I have a Sony and selected the Sony and it doen't work either. I am giving it one more shot before it goes back to the store. Am I missing something here?

It takes awhile to understand the NeoEdit software, once you do it is pretty easy. The new firmware and software updates that just came out rel make a big difference to. I would just make your layout and then Learn all the IR codes that you need to. Now that you can upload the learned codes, it makes it easy to back up and save your .ncf file

As far as the Time/Date getting reset after a DL, this is true, and it happens when the battaies are replaced!
It used to lose the Timeout/Backlight settings but the new firmware/software fixed that...now its just the time/date/contrast lost
