Anybody have the problem of the device overview buttons getting written to all black after doing a download to the NEO? Since these buttons are generated automatically, how do you fix this?

I confirm your problem. Any file downloaded, including samples, results in black buttons. They still work as expected when pressed, and momentairly show the right bitmap when pressed, but are black all other times. I'm working with updated firmware and NEOedit from a download done tonight. I have no fix yet...

I'm running Windows 98 on a Pentium. I noticed that the NeoEdit software is showing black buttons on any file that has been uploaded from the ProntoNeo. Subsequent downloads are simply reflecting that fact. If I start with the virgin Default file that came with the software, the buttons look ok in NeoEdit and download properly. I can't seem to change the black buttons in the software once it gets confused...

I am running Win2k. I can start from the default configuration and change any button on the first page of any device to cause the problem. Don't even have to download to the box - just saving the file corrupts the buttons (only the device overview buttons). I am also working with updated firmware and the latest version of NEOedit (v1.3).

Same story with the virgin default file that came with the software - that is the only configuration that doesn't mess with the device overview buttons.

Mike, you're right: it has nothing to do with the upload. I just opened the virgin Default file (the buttons we're OK), saved it to a new file with no changes, reopened it and the buttons were munched. If I don't get this fixed today, back to BestBuy, Christmas lines and all...

Have either of you tried different video drivers or change the color depth/bit? Also, are you using the standard windows fonts? Not a smaller or larger size?
Thats the only thing I can think of, is its display problem somewhere, as this is the first time I've come across this problem with either of the software ver's.

I know I had set my display higher and changed my font size in display properties and it really messed up the Neo font's.

It probably has to do with the selected color depth.
If your color depth is 256 colors, change it to 16 bit or 24 bit. This solved the problem on my side anyway.

jacques... That was the ticket. My display depth was set to 256 colors and that didn't work. Setting it to 16 bits made this problem go away. Thanks!!!!
