I can't get my ProntoNEO to work with my Dish Network 5000 receiver. I've removed the antenna on the back of the receiver to "force" it into IR mode rather than RF, but that didn't help. I've used both codes offered in the book for Echostar and neither one works. Can somebody please help me out? Thanks.

Has anyone tried to run a Dish Network / Echostar receiver with the TSU500??? We are at a wall on this one. Our satellite receiver remote is UHF, but the receiver will respond to IR remotes so the Pronto should work. The UHF makes "learning" the codes out of the question from the current remote. The list of the codes in the user guide indicates that it should be compatible, but so far even the simplest command (on / off) isn't working. If you have overcome this obstacle please help a fellow user before this remote gets returned last the last 2 brands I tried. Krista

All I can think of is to buy a cheap remote and learn the IR codes that way. If only one person did this, they could pass around the .ncf file, as the learned codes can now be uploaded.

I had a similar problem except my echostar 2700 was UHF only. Only option for me was a new reciever. On the newer recievers I've heard that the address has to be set to 1 and the antenna removed. There is a post in the regular pronto forum detailing how they did this, but mostly the detail says they had to contact dish network CS. If you haven't tried to learn the commands to your remote go ahead and try that. Newer recievers shouldn't have to be switched, and the remotes transmit UHF and IR at the same time. I got a PVR501(very cool) and the echostar codes didn't control a thing. The remote learned just fine to the pronto though, and we now use the OEM in our upstair and the pronto in the living room. I would love to post the codes, but I have yet to get the new filmware and don't know where to put our ncf's yet anyway. Actually both my pronto learned commands from both my new and old echostar remote so I would have two codesets if I could upload them. Hope this helps.

I have a Dish 5000 receiver. Neither of the supplied codes work. I was able to learn all the other ones from the remote. Drop me an email if you think that would help and I can figure out a way to send the file to you.

JMGray: Once you've emailed the .NCF file, please send it in to Remote Central for inclusion in the Neo File section.
Thks.
