Hi,

I've got a brand new TSU-501. it connects to freedom edit fine, I have created my ncf file & can upload / download happily.

I tried using neohacker to replace the default start page, following the instructions to click default start on another device. then opening it again in freedom edit (without saving) and upload.

that's where it goes wrong... freedomedit gives a warning about conversion between neo format & .ncf & i loose my start page again for a default 3page device list.

I've tried neoedit, but it always says device not recognised.

any help please? is there a version of neoedit i can use for the TSU-501? am i making a really noob mistake lol?

thanks
josh1e

NEOedit is intended for the ProntoNEO, and FreedomEdit is intended for the Boston version. I'm not sure how full/complete NeoHacker's support for the TSU501 is.

Hi josh1e,

the files for the european version of the ProntoNeo (RU930) are also slight different to the TSU500.

Probably it is the same solution: tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/pronto_neo/message/923

Look what comment is in your original file and set it back it after changing the device page with neohacker.

Hope this helps

Guido

I just got my TSU-501 this weekend. Neohacker does not appear to work correclty with ncf's for model. However after analyzing what it is trying to achieve I have now worked out how to change the home page myself as follows.

01. Create your ncf making sure your desired home page is the fist device.
02. Take a copy of this pcf (for safety)
03. Rename the copy from .pcf to .zip
04. Open the zip and extract the .xml file
05. Open the .xml with wordpad and search for the first occurence of 'start of module'. Select all the way until the first occurence of 'end of module'.
06. Cut the selected text.
07. Search for the next occurence of 'end of module' and paste the text you have just cut after this line.
08. Save the document.
09. Copy it back into the .zip file
10. Rename the .zip file .ncf
11. Load into freedom edit.
12. Send to remote.
13. Enjoy.

I always edit my original .ncf file and tweak a copy prior to uploading just to be safe. Also you cannot have macros on your new homepage as freedomedit seems to mess with the order of actions, to get round this I have a separate page with all my macros on and just have links to them on my home page.

Version 1.4 of NeoSync now supports this remote and allows you to customize your Device Page. It is in the file area.
