Hi All,

Just got my hands on a "new" marantz RC3200 to replace my dead pronto and l am having a couple of problems.

Problem #1.
The remote has been programed but when l use the revert function the remote does not go back to the standard setup. Can the remote be locked so it cant be fiddled with by users?

Problem #2.
I cant comunicate with the remote from the computer (XP). It works fine with the pronto and a really old digital camera (both serial and use the same lead) and l have tried 2 other computers and have the same problems (one win2000, one XP).
L have tried a couple uf versions of the programs and have also tried to flash the remote.

Any ideas anyone?
TIA Pondskum

The first problem is not easy. If you don't have the "installer" version of the software I don't think you can do what you are asking. As for you second question, you have to set your com port. In the program on the top click the "option" tab, click on the connection tab, then set you com port. The com port # will very for computer to computer. You will need to play with the com port #. That is the problem that you are having.

Thanks J.Todd,

The com port is not the problem, my old pronto runs fine on it.

I am still looking for a solution for the first problem though.

Thanks all.
