Hello folks. I, like most of you are trying to get 1 remote that will do all of my needs. I think the Neo will do that. Here's my question. I have a ProntoNeo but after reading the user reviews I think I should sell it while it still works! I don't want to take the time to set up and learn this remote only to have the thing take a dump on me. How long have you had yours and has it been problematic?

I've had mine since around 2002 also. It has taken sooo many falls, and keeps on going. Sometimes the connection from the screen to the pcb gets loose, but it's easy to open her up and reseat the connection. Also, the calibration of the touchscreen is WAY off. If you calibrate it properly (touch right on the cross where it tells you to), the screen actually presses about 5mm to the right of where you press it. I have to press the equivalent distance to the right while calibrating to fix it.
My wife bought this for me for my birthday, only cost about £100 from richer sounds. It's the best present she ever bought me. The thing I love about it (over all these harmony-esque remotes) is the complete control. I can have it set up any which way I want, without it telling me how I should be controlling my equipment.

I think the Neo is fantastic. You can do almost the same things as on a "real" Pronto, albeit it takes a bit more work (using NeoHacker etc). I have had mine for three years and it has worked perfectly. You can pick one up on ebay for next to nothing, so it has to be the best bargain around. I also have a RU950 and RU970, but like the form factor of the Neo the best. Much easier to navigate with one hand.

I just picked up the Boston TSU-501 for 39 bucks. I love it so far. I am a harmony fan too but as aphil stated above, I want more control over how it's controlled. I also wanted to use the RF function of the 501.
