The 3 bugs I've come across so far:
1) When you upload your .ncf file from the remote the "ir codes" that were set for the hard buttons revert to the first "ir code" built into that device's datebase! Yet this dos not happen if the device is the default one of "Cable/ABC/0030"
Work around: Learn the "IR codes" from the devices remote, as they don't change when Uploaded.
2) The "Device Overview" page can still have "Links" to other device's buttons that make up macros but they are not saved right! If the file is saved, and you exit NeoEdit, when you open that .ncf file back up, the "links" and "jumps" are gone! But if you Download the .ncf file to the Neo before you close the file, the marcos will work.
Work around: There is none that I can find! Just put the jumps and links back in place if needed.
3) When the batteries are taken out, the TIme and Date is lost! So is the Contrast settings! Yet the timeouts for LCD/Backlight are NOT!!! Also, when the .ncf file is Downloaded, the Time/Date is not! I think this is a EASY fix, if they can have the Lcd and Backlight times saved, the rest can be too!!!
Work around: Never ever replace the batteries :)
))The Hard Buttons I listed in #1 seem to be only the "Ok" and "Arrow" buttons

Would also like to add this info:
Using the Neo remote itself(not the NeoEdit) you can go into the setup and set the "Backlight" to ON by turning it all the way up past 120, then set the "LCD" to whatever, say 30 sec
Then now, anytime you touch any button or the touch screen, the light will come on, and will go Off with whatever you set the "LCD" timeout as.
I believe this is something the other Prontos are able to do and people were complaining about as well..

Can't I rearrange the device buttons without losing the links to that device? For instance, I want to move the vcr device to the bottom of the list. So I copy it and paste it at the end. Then I goto delete the original vcr device and it says something like "you will lose all links to this device". Can I get around this issue? I guess one way is to just learn all buttons rather than linking to other buttons. But linking is so easy! I should be able to do this!
Thanks

I have found when I create a jump to another device that the device I jumped to won't work, however the hard buttons work for the device I jumped from... Anyone else experience this? What's the point in a jump if it doesn't control the device you jump to?

hiner, you need to get version 1.3 of neo edit and the 'flasher' to upgrade the neo's memory. you'll be ok after that.

Can't find this in the threads - may not be new.
When I code based on the manual (e.g. Mitsu TV 0177) and make the devices start to work - then upload I find that Neoedit has reverted to its default devices (e.g. Philips TV) when I hit F2. Also - seems that the devices available via the F2 Tabs are far more limited than what's in the manual.
Is it me? Thanks either way...want to make this work, but Philips is losing my confidence quickly.

Hi,
New Neo owner here. Got it mostly setup, but came accross this bug. I can't get any symbols to work. If I try and put a symbol from the symbol 1 keyboard layout (like the double FF arrows)I get a DTS logo and then the symbol and the button only shows 2 little squares.

Check your Font Size. It is probably 8. Change it to 10 or 12 and you'll get symbols. I guess they left out symbols at 8 because they would be too small to look good
