For users of Marantz RC3200 remote trying to update firmware and experiencing problems.

You may receive an error telling you: "The device is not responding, reset the device first and click ok"

After doing this it comes up with the same error.

Solution:

Reset the remote by pressing the reset button with a paperclip then click OK. You may have to do this 3 or 4 times, then a screen will come up:

"Device is not responding please reset the device first and click retry or start the download again"

Reset the device and click "retry" it will download the firmware to the remote (takes 3-5 minutes) and then say finished.

When you press a button on the remote for the first time after the firmware update it will come up with a screen that says "calibration press left corner" then "press right corner" if after doing this you get a error "calibration not completed" then press the reset button and try it again. My remote took two tries.

Some of this was posted for the neo on a previous thread but I thought I would post it with additional information for the RC3200.

Hope it helps and saves others from the 3 hours of misery I experienced figuring this out. (with help from this forum)

Thanks all!!
