Ok, I've managed to figure out everything in RC3200 editor with no problem after many hours of frigging with the software.

I was disappointed with the fact that the software won't let you edit or create your own start up page with macro's and the like. I was pointed towards the NeoHacker software and thought I was all set. THOUGHT!

Ok, maybe I'm a retard, but even with the read me file that is supplied with the software, I still can't get it. Can someone explain (in retard terms) step by step, how to get started?

What the hell is XML? Oh I know, that's that football league that SUCKED! and was taken off the air. What were they thinking with that?

Anyhoo, all I want to do is create a hidden page containing all my power, input, and surround commands, and add a list of actions to each device button (maybe links to buttons on the hidden page?) on the home page to give me one-touch operation.

Ya know this is a lot easier with Touchscreen Setup and the 5200/9200 remotes.

JJP

PS. I know I left myself open for newbie comments, but thats ok. I know what it's like to be on either side.
So fire away! LOL

Hi, I wrote NEOHacker so I believe I can help you out. I have actually never tested it with the RC3200 myself but I was told that it works.

To replace the startup page with your own, first create a new device that you would want to be the startup device. The first page of this device will be your startup page. So design the page to your liking. After you are done, save the file and then open it up in NEOHacker. Then select the device and select the menu item 'Set as startup device' or just press ctrl-d
Now, you have set this page as the startup page. Save the file as a new file. NEOHacker will suggest appending a '-hacked' to the filename. Now you want to open up this hacked file in RC3200 setup. Immediately download the file to your RC3200 without changing anything, because if you change anything, RC3200 setup will recreate the device overview page.

Make sure you do not download a hacked ncf file if you plan on learning some buttons and then uploading it. Because when you upload it, you cannot save without RC3200 setup replacing your startup page. Or you can just make a backup of your starup page before you hack it.

Hope that helps.

What is the NeoHacker program? Does it allow me to input hex IR codes? If I can use it to program Marantz remotes where can I get it?
