To all,

Because I recently switched to a DVI-based DVD player, I need to modify an existing Macro that is assigned to my DVD device button for my MX-500. Is this possible? In other words, can I edit the existing macro or do I have to erase the existing macro and create a brand new macro, which switches to a DVI input.

If it is not possible to edit an existing macro, is it possible to review the steps of an existing macro? The reason why I ask this is that it has been a long time since I originally programmed the DVD device macro and I don't know if I could re-create it if I have to enter in a new macro (modified to work with the DVI-based device).

Thanks in advance!

One of the advantages of owning a PC-programmed remote. Unfortunately, no, you'll have to redo your macro from scratch and there is no way of seeing what was programmed in the macro.

That's why it is always good to write down the steps in each of your macros on paper so if you do need to make a change, you know what is happening, the length of your pauses, etc. and can more easily redo the macro.

Edit: Obviously showing my age.... I'm sure writing the macro steps in a word processor or on your PDA would be good too! ;-)
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.
