In the "Discrete Codes Wanted", I posted a question asking if anyone had on/off codes for my Toshiba HD-XA2 DVD player, or any Toshiba DVD player for that matter. One fellow sent me the below codes, but I have no idea how to get them into my MX-850 (or my MX-700). Can anyone help?
Thanks, Bill
Device Code: 69.181 Function: 146 ON 0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

There is a tool called "Universal Browser" that can be launched from within the MX-850 editor.
If you have the version of Universal Browser that allows direct pasting of Pronto Hex then you can directly put in the hex strings above (from the 0000 through the 0E94. Do not include the label line above each).
If you have an older Universal Browser, you must first put the Pronto Hex into a CCF file (using ProntoEdit or IrPanels) then Universal Browser can open the CCF and lets you drag the signal from the CCF to a button in your config.

Hello Johnsfine,
Using your information I finally figured out how to load the values into my MX-850. FWIW, the ON did not work at all. But the OFF worked fine, so using the XA2 "Play" command as my ON, I now have discrete ON/OFF buttons on my remote control for my Toshiba HD-DVD player. Thanks for the help!!
