I leave my receiver on all the time, and therefore don't want the remote to turn it on and off at all. Is there a way to ensure this will happen?

Thanks

Tomt,

As I recall, you have to determine if your receiver has a PowerToggle (which is on-off-on-off, etc. Or a discrete code for On and a discrete code for Off.

If it only has a powertoggle, I don't think you can do it, unless you remove the Power command from your script or you send 2 powertoggles signals. Since it is always on, it would turn off then on again.

For example, my Yamaha has Power On and also have Standby (which is off). There is a code for each. So I can send a discrete On and if it is already on, it basically ignores it.

Hope this helps...Dave

When you "walk" through the "Characterize this device" wizard for a device, page 2, you can choose "None. It has a manual (mechanical) power button, or is always on.".
