There are times when the dynamic range of a movie varies so greatly and suddenly that either you get blasted by sudden loud bursts or you lose dialog when the volume softens. Also. TV stations still make volume of commercials louder than that of the show. Is there a setting for alternate volume levels so that the volume can be adjusted substantially at the push of a button rather than having to scroll up/down? Sure would be convenient......

You would likely need a code with a predefined volume setting, probably not something in a TV. You may find that in a receiver, if your system is wired as such.

The AV receiver is a Sony STR DH830. I have found a feature called "Auto Volume" in the manual. I will have to find which button on the Harmony 700 activates/deactivates it. Then we'll see.......
