I have tried to research using my Harmony One remote to control my Amazon Fire Stick, but it is hard to find a clear answer.

Is there some sort of HDMI dongle that I can plug my fire Stick into so I can use just the Harmony remote. Having to keep that one tiny remote around for 8 buttons is annoying. If there is something on Anazon, even better as I'm a prime member.

No. But you can do most commands with HDMI-CEC. Turn that on in your TV and use TV commands on the stick.

I don't think my Vizio E55-D0 has that feature. At least I have not found it so far.

Correction to my above post. I was able to find CEC in the settings and have enabled it. It is working from a power perspective as it does jump to that input when I turn on the fire TV or PlayStation. how can I go about adding the codes for the fire TV into my harmony one remote set up?

Play, ffwd, etc. should work in that case. Just make a new custom activity where you specify that the playback controls are mapped to the TV device. If they are missing from those buttons, add them. If they aren't in the database at all, email the following pronto hex to datasupport@logitech.com and tell them to add to your account. Other commands like arrows, ok, back, menu, info, exit, etc. should already work. At least they work when I use CEC with Fire Stick and other brands of TVs. If this doesn't work, you're out of luck. You'll have to get a full blown Fire TV box plus an FLIRC dongle and use MCE commands with it.

I thought the fire stick uses Bluetooth only. No IR input. You can get an app to use with your phone.

Nope. CEC too, just like I said. I'm controlling 4 Fire sticks that way as we speak. I posted the above codes for a Vizio TV which get relayed to the stick via HDMI. Works fine except for Menu, which is rarely used anyway. To use CEC, just use the corresponding playback and nav commands for your TV. Obviously if you don't have a Vizio TV, my posted codes won't work.

Control from a phone is for the birds, IMO, except for text entry.

So the harmony remote with a hub will not control a firestick? There website says it does and I just specked a job with 6 to do this via bluetooth.

This thread is about the Harmony One (discontinued many years ago) which is IR only and will not work with a Harmony Hub or Bluetooth.

I haven't heard of any problems with hubs and firesticks. You should be fine. Although I've never heard of anyone pairing that many to one hub. Let us know how it turns out.
