I have a logitech harmony elite which I would like to teach some custome RC5 commands to.

These commands are not available from the remote, but are listed as usable in the documentation for home automation

How do I add these commands to my remote?

Check Logitech's database, they may already have them.

Beyond that, without utilizing another remote to teach those codes from, I would suggest contacting Logitech Harmony tech support and requesting that they add them.

OK - Seriously impressed with the support for this.

I phoned the technical support line - The lady I spoke to understood exactly what I was asking for - I have sent in the manual with the advanced commands and she will request that they get added.

Thats cool - everybody will get them.

Good to hear! They're usually pretty good about adding new codes, because it does help everyone.
