I have a working set up with a Harmony Ultimate in an enclosed cabinet with just using two emitters. I am thinking of getting an Elite for another location which is a vertical rack with perforated doors and side panels. I'm not sure if a blaster emitter would reflect enough off of the perforated panels to do the job,

I also have two of the 4 devices in that rack able to use direct plug in IR signals which is pretty fool proof. However the Harmony Hubs only have two outputs as you know.

Do their IR emitters use non standard size plugs? xantec, niles etc

Can I put a Y adapter in the output (if anyone makes them in this size) to get two hard wired connections? Same for emitters.

Harmony's website shows a four emitter single plug accessory in a photo but the description says 2 wires.

Any input is welcome

Late to this thread, but yes, they do use 2.5mm plugs and I have asked for them to change many times, but was told it was a cost consideration and, while it's a PITA for us, it makes sense for them to want to sell their emitters.

That said, the output from the hub can be connected to the input of an IR distribution kit, like the ones Xantec, Russound, Proficient and others sell. That way, existing emitters can be used and it decreases the number of adapters needed.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
