This is how I watch TV, will the harmony do these things for me?

Equip: Sony TV, Panasonic VCR, Comcast Cable Box, DirectTV satelite, Sony surround sound reciever, Sony DVD player.

Watch a VCR Program - turn on the VCR, put the TV on Ch 3, hit play, then have the controls work the VCR.

Watch a DVD - Turn on the DVD Player, switch the TV to Input 1, turn the reciever to the Video Selection, then have the controls work the DVD (ie, play, pause, menu).

Watch Satelite Programs - Turn on the Satelite receiver, switch the TV to Input 3, have the controls work the Satelite box using channel up and down, volume from reciever, program guide access, direct channel input (ie type in channel 600)

Watch Cable Programs (thru Box) - Toggle the ANT button, TV channels through Cable Box Remote. Access to channel up and down, volume from reciever, direct channel input (ie type in channel 22)

Watch Cable Programs (without Box) - Toggle the ANT button, TV channels through tv to channel up and down, volume from reciever, direct channel input (ie type in channel 33)

Watch two football games - Watch satelite (see above), turn pip on with TV input, buttons to use; swap screen, change channel on both the main screen or small screen.

Thanks,

Dan

I have been able to do everything you describe except PIP, which I do not use. That being said, i see no reason why that would not work.

I see no reason why ( with a little documentation ) you could not add another screen to your tv activity that allowed control of your PIP modes. This is one of the things that I have been kicking around that would be fairly simple if I had documentation.

Drop a line to the advanced@easyzapper.com and see if they can help.

How do you call up the DirecTV guide?. Once it is on screen, using the 5-way navigation buttons and ChUp, ChDown would be fine but there is no "guide" button?. I would not want to use the guide info in the remote as a substitute. Similar question with my Tivo, how to call up the List or press Live. I'm tempted to try this remote, but I keep feeling it needs one or two more buttons for even basic activities.

Also, is there any way to find out what devices are in their database before purchase?.

My solution is to map the Guide to the ZAP button for my satelite, but haven't been able to yet. I am not sure on the Tivo
