Just got the HarmonyRemote and I'm now trying to
add information about the devices that I have (as
none of them seems to have been registered before).

But during the part where the browser shows a page
(at the Harmony site) with the heading "Find
Infrared Language" and a progress bar is displayed,
a waring pops up soon showing the following message:

"Run time error '13': Type mismatch"

I have also tired to "run" the "*.EZTut" file
directly (after having downloaded it), but the same
thing happens there. I also can't find anything
wrong in the properites settings for the file type.
It is, as expected, associated with the
EazyZapperDeviceTutor program and everything.

Any suggestions?

I'm running Win2k Pro, english version.

best regards,
kmm

Found out that the software dowloaded from the Harmony
site does not handle the use of a foreign language
locale. After changing the locale to English(US) the tutor does start.
But now I got a new problem.

When the tutor is up and running showing the text
"Currently searching for a infrared signal" nothing
happens no matter what I do. I have tried with several
remotes at different distances, holding the buttons
down for both short and prolonged periods, but
nothing happens.

I am not sure about what I should do now. Any ideas?

The network connection seems to be fine, since I am
able to reach the harmonyremote.tzo.com site. One
thing though, I am behing a NAT/firewall gw, a
SMC 7008BR box. Could this have anything to say?

For reference the equipment that I have and that I
want to teach the harmony remote about are:

Thomson 32VK45E TV
H/K DVD20 DVD player
NAD 515 CD player
NAD AV711 receiver
Radionette RN-989NP VHS player

All of them European/Scandinavian models.

best regards,
kmm

Hmmm... Found finally out that the IR detector are
actually located at the other end of the remote.

Now it goes better!

best regards,
