I have a Denon receiver where all of my inputs are component video and I output (monitor) only one cable into my Philips TV into AV1. So I never have to change the TV input when watching cable or DVD.
How do I remove the option when setting up the TV device NOT to select AV1? The TV defaults to AV1 when I always turn it on. I see no need to send another IR command to have it change to AV1 when it is already on it.

There may be another way but you can set up the TV with just the one input and tell it you use the cycle method. Once it's on that input it shouldn't resend any input commands.

An alternative is to use method 2, reduce the list to one input, and set that input to be "none".

Or delete all inputs.
