Hi,
I have a harmony 880 that had some defects under warranty- Logitech is being nice enough to replace it (likely with a refurbed one) and they have said in an email i do not have to return the defective unit. The only problems with the defective one is the backlight on the keys dont work and one of the buttons stick. The remote is still quite functional - as long as it is not in a dark room. In the email from logitech they mentioned they have disabled the remote from being updated in the future.
Has anyone been able to clone harmony remotes or work around this - I wouldnt mind using the defective one in my bedroom.
Thanks,
Z

I don't think you will get much help on that topic here. Logitech is good enough to honour their warranty (and I am sure you will get a new replacement unit). Dump the old one, or use it, but I doubt you will find much support for 'cloning' or 'hacking' these remotes here.
