I'm looking to replace my 880 that's on its last leg. I'm thinking of getting the ONE but have some reservations.

1.) The 880 never had the right codes from my Pioneer Elite 55-TXi receiver. There are a few discrete commands I could never get it to control.

2.) I always had issues with controlling my Aquos 52D92U LCD. It was always hit-or-miss.

3.) It would always be so slow reacting with my DirecTV HR20.

4.) I hated the ergonomics. I could never hit the channel number buttons one-handed without inducing a cramp in my hand.

I'm confident that the new styling solves my issue #4. However, does the ONE use the same engine and code-output method as the 880? Thus I have reservations about the ONE being the same problematic remote, just in a different skin.

Comments?

You're right about 4.
All Harmonys use the same database.
Any problems you had will still be there but the receiver and TV should be easy to get right with adjustments.
DirecTV seems to have special problems but they too should be soluble, and there is a lot of advice on the forums.
