I've has a 676 for ages now and I love it... one of the nicest things is that I can walk up, press an Activity button and it turns everything on. I don't even need to look or pickup the remote, it just sits on the table.

Now, It is getting older and a few buttons are starting to have sticking problems... e.g. IR is sent more than once per press. So I'm looking at the One.

The thing I'm concerned about is the loss of the Activity hard buttons.

thoughts?

You'll soon get used to sets of three virtual buttons on the LCD screen for selecting your Activities.

I switched from a 659 with the dedicated activity buttons to a 720 with soft buttons to the One with the touch screen. The nice thing with the One is that the first 3 activities are displayed when you pick it up, so you don't have to hit the activities button first unless you're already in an activity and want to switch. I like it better.

Also remember the "One" is missing the convenient "Sound" and "Picture" shortcut buttons.

Oh yeah - keep forgetting about those since I don't need them.

I'd rather just press a button and not need to pick up the remote. Heck, I don't even need to look at it!

I may get an 890 Pro... I like the z-wave support, RF, and hard activity buttons. -- pretty much everything the H1 is missing. Logitech is just recycling the same remote with a different case and less features, for more money... sad.

But the 8xx remotes are missing the superior button layout and design of the H1 and the H1 has a superior charging cradle AND a touch screen. I'd pay a lot extra for the H1 over the 8xx remotes, but that's just my personal preference.
