I seem to only have this problem in the morning when I take the remote off the docking station...if the tv is already on, and I chose the activity "watch tv" my tv turns off. I'm figuring this is because the remote is sending a power toggle signal to the tv...is there any way for the Harmony One to know the tv is already on. I don't have this problem later, but just when I first take the remote off the docking station. Any ideas?

Sorry - the answer is that the TV ought not to be on!
The idea of any Harmony is to let it do all the controlling, and forget the original remotes and the devices' own controls.

I am not using the original remotes. The problem only happens when the Harmony is used.

Yea...I realize that...my fiance prefers to just turn on the tv by pressing the power button on the tv. Guess I'll just call off the engagement and I won't have this problem anymore

Check if your TV supports the discrete "PowerOn" and "PowerOff" commands in device mode. If so, then reconfigure the TV device Adjust Power settings accordingly.

OK Bigstun - you've come up with the easier of the options for solving it.

Prism1963 - you have the same problem?
