Very frustrating when we all pitch in to help someone
but they don't post what the final fix was so that others
can benefit from it.

As you can see I asked him to post 1 hour after his last
post and now 10 days ago with no response, so highly unlikely
he will come back and see this.

Next time you might want to take into account the fact that not everyone checks this page daily or weekly. Also take into account the fact that no one "pitched in" to help me with anything like you say. My first post was ignored, even though it seems to me that several people already knew how to do exactly what i was politely asking for help with.
But since it is the holidays afterall, i have gladly posted my solution for one and all.
Cheers!

Yes - to enter all the commands as listed by nws103 (in post 15).

hmmm..i'm not sure exactly what you mean. So does the media function select the dvd at all? Or is the only thing happening that the display screen comes up?
The display screen does need to come up in order for the remote to process everything, but it should go away at the end once it automatically selects the disc.

Set me up with some more details and i'll see what i can figure out.

You need to select this option on the pages with "What command do you use to START disc selection?"
and "What command do you use to FINISH disc selection?"

I believe those are the two places it needs to be done.

oh and AFTER you've already chosen the correct multiple dropdowns, you don't need to check the box for "My device needs more than one command to turn it on and off."
Instead,
"I don't have the original remote, but I know the commands that are used:" with the correct dropdowns should be checked.
Sorry if that was confusing.

Could you also repeat those instructions??? Thanks and happy new year!!!

Hmmmm i'm not sure about the display issue. Looking at my setup now, i've also got "display" three times, (i should update my set-up post) but it works fine on my system. The display disappears after it starts.
Maybe try putting a fourth "display" in?
Other than that, i'm not sure.

I don't know how to pause and stop during the switchover though...must have been someone else!

Have a good one.

Try the website interface instead of the client S/W interface.

Thanks

isn't harmony going to update their database codes to take into consideration the 995 quirks?

I too followed these instructions and am at this point. The disc is selected, but the display doesn't go away. It appears that the commands for turning the display off are being sent too quickly to the device. There needs to be a longer pause there in that one spot. I'm using a 676 btw..

Also, has anyone been able to program a macro to lock and unlock the door.. The "return, enter, power" thing gets old and is cumbersome on the harmony. How can I set this up on the harmony?

You will need to add additional "display" commands during step 12 (I added a total of 5 "display" after the "select" command.

To get the option to add additional "display" commands, simply select "My device needs more then one command to turn it on and off" after you have already picked "display" for the second and third slot and click "next". I do no recall how many additional slots were given, but I filled them all up with "display" and the menu is removed properly from my tv.

Hope this works for you...
