I have a digital surround processor that is fed power from a switched outlet on my receiver. I need to send the dsp the correct Input select command depending on activity. My problem is that if the receiver is already on, and therefore the dsp is on, when I change activities, the Harmony sends the PowerToggle command to the dsp which shuts it off.

Would I edit the device xml, activity xml, or ??

I posted this over on the email group where you also asked the question but will copy my thoughts below:

I would think the easy way would be to re-characterize the DSP device and tell it that it has manual power. I do this a lot with devices that are auto on with my
Monster power conditioners and triggered when the pre/proc turns on.

Let me know if the above doesn't make sense and I'll try to explain more fully.
