I just got my Harmony today and have concerns that I may have got a preproduction or customer returned unit.

Does your remote have poorly finished plastic injection mold crators on it? Looks like small cigarette burns on both sides. 1 about an inch below the mode button on the silver case part, and 1 on the left side black case around the rewind button. Mine does, and they are pretty rough finished...

Also, what about your LCD logo or wording...is it Easy Zapper at the top and EasyZapper.com at the bottom or the nice H logo at the top and HarmonyRemote.com at the bottom as shown on the website and manual? When did you take delivery?

I contacted Harmony, sent jpegs via email and am now awaiting response. I do not want to be the outlet for older/returned product!! So for you recent owners, I would appreciate your reply here!

Same logo's here. I see the "Crators" you talk about, but they are barley noticable and didn't even notice till I looked. The are well finished ( obviously ).

Mabye you just got a poorly finished unit? I'm sure easyzapper will be more than happy to ship you another if it's a defect.

I don't believe you were shipped a pre-release or returned unit.

Got mine at the beginning of december.

I got mine today also. The design and finish does remind me of plastic molding tecnology from the sixties. I am hoping that the software and performance will make us overlook the design and finish.
I am impressed so far with their costomer service level. After all, I ordered this thing yesterday at noon and had it in my hands at 10 am this morning (Canada to Florida)!
They also have answered three emails almost immediately.

Eric, it was the first thing I noticed when taking out of the box! Send me an email address and I will send you a jpeg of the one next to the mode button.

Interesting that the box, manual, and website show the H logo and "HarmonyRemote.com" on the units and ours is "EasyZapper.com".

No response back from customer service yet to my email, but I was impressed with the proactive website error reporting and two support emails from the website generated error during configuration!

I received mine on December 26. It has the Easy Zapper logo above the LCD and EasyZapper.com below it.

I too noticed the plastic molding defects. But I am also hoping that its functionality will quickly overshadow the cosmetic blems.

After a couple of days experience, a phone call and email response from Geoff (see below), I am satisfied with the "current state of the world." Thanks to all for your replies and emails. Looks like we all have the same units at this point, and my original fears have been addressed.

I am very impressed with the customer support team. They are exremely responsive and first rate!

Here is the email response....

Hello Alan,

We received your email regarding the labelling difference between the product and the box. You are correct that they are different. Unfortunately
there are no units yet manufactured that have the HarmonyRemote.com and the stylized "H" and all units have our Company Name and Logo. As I mentioned
when we spoke on the phone regarding the mould marks on the chassis, our product is continuing to evolve and within the next year you could see the
label change come into effect. What you can be sure of is that any changes planned would be purely cosmetic and your Harmony Platform will allow you to
be continually upgraded as new functional developments are released.

I would encourage you to set-up and use the your Harmony and if at that time you are unsatisfied with the product we would naturally take it back. I
apologise if you were misled in any way, I can assure you that it was not our intent.
