Having some wee problems here. I have the remote set up for my dish network system and all, with one exception, is glorious. The exception is volume control. The harware buttons do nothing in the Vol Up/ Vol Down and Mute Departments. In fact, the red LED barely flickers when I push them. ( I actually thought it did nothing at all but you can barely see the flicker in a completely carkened room). Although in manual mode, I can use the track wheel to run the command with no difficulty. How do I get the hardware buttons to do what they should?

I would email the harmony people. THere are cases where the hard buttons only send a single volume adjust when they should send a stream.

Otherwise I would re-charaterise the device in question by digitizing the volume commands from the original remote, that has solved some of my problems in the past.

Thanks. I tried that but from what I can see, using your original remote to train the Harmony has no effect. I'm using a characterization from another Dishnetwork unit and manually digitized the volume twice. Like I snoted before, it DOES work if I use the MANUAL mode and scroll to the vol up command with the scroll wheel.

So do you change volume on the TV or the dish? Is this a PVR setup?

IF it's a matter of you are changing the volume on the dish and not the TV then that can be resoluved easly.
