apparently stats show white males find it hard to vote for Obama and that Obama has a higher percentage of female voters than Romney .. more women than men vote. I think November is going to be close

see the beer argument is being put forward ..that you vote for a person you could drink with and Obama has his own home brew recipe and Romney doesn't drink.. are people that stupid that they vote on rubbish like that and not policies or the candidates views ?

True ... but the options we (I mean voters in most countries) have are limited.. the system is set up for a certain type to get in that position where they are a candidate. The house of commons is not representative of the commons ie the common people as was intended..

Pretty much the same here.

The BILLIONS spent is very telling.

These guys have nothing in common with the common people.

Sadly, the people will continue to eat up the lies and vote in another liar election after election.

Maybe it is time for the nut case party (Green Party, Tea Party, etc, etc.) to be elected. They certainly couldn't do any worse.

saw a report that unemployment is coming down there ... maybe Obama stnds a chance at a second term?

Got Osama Bin Laden
Saved General Motors (Romney wanted them to fail) 10's of thousands or more jobs would have been lost. GM has paid back their loan BTW.
Created Jobs
Saved us from a Depression
Got us out of Iraq
Getting us out of Afghanistan
Healthcare
Gay Marriage
Stock market has continually risen since day one of his presidency

All of the above with the Republican party trying to kill everything!!! They have become the party of NO - want to kill medicare, make all abortions illegal, raise taxes on the middle class, start a war with Iran... etc. etc. etc. --- not to mention that they dredge up numerous outright lies, and try to twist what Obama and the Democrats are saying, proposing & doing.

Actually a lot of the U.S. are still behind Obama. The guys you are hearing about are the "haters" who are quite vocal and make for interesting news reading / reporting (sensationalism).

saw Donald trump endorsing Mitt.. there is something about trumps personality i do not like ..creeps me out

well if I have got it correct Mitt is through as the candidate and will now take on Obama..

From the biased press i read and hear I am not sold on Mitt

I can't wait until Mitt has to debate Obama! Should be good! Mitt is a religious whack job, who appeals to all of the old, ill-informed, bigotted, white FOX news tv viewers.

As for Donald Trump --- he is like a cartoon character! A total clown.

Mr Stanley I think many people expected more in the time which frankly is ridiculous .. Obama has done a hell of a lot in a very short time.. the feeling i get is many are angry and often in those circumstances logic goes out of the window.

Personally i like Obama and i do think the world has been a better place because of less sabre rattling and actual talks (even if they are secret)

I personally have a problem with a political leader who will promote intelligent design and thinks Israel should attack Iran. I also think when he will not release how much tax he pays it speaks volumes..

BUT the feeling i get is that times are tough (yes because obama inherited a right mess) and people always blame who is currently in charge.

Bill Clintons speech was very good and quite convincing ..

I never underestimate the capacity of any nations people to be stupid ... look at the shambles we have here its not just the USA!

What I found is there is a large number of Americans that want change in their life. The real key to the different party's views is how that change is made. The Dem’s want a social change = help from others. The GOP expects the change come from within. The controversy over "you didn't build this"/"we built this" typifies this view.
I think it shows the frustration with the failure of our system to help educate and allow anyone to advance. Look at our industry. Where did you learn your trade?
We used to focus on education in our school system. In the 60's it turned to making socially congruent adults. The change was an attempt to handle the large number of riots and protests occurring. Our education system declined ever since.

Good post, thank you.

Romney made a mistake this week that could possibly cost him the election. Even some Republicans and conservatives are attacking him. Could be interesting...
