Is the JVC 511 a good choice dvd player?

I also am interested in the 511. The 511 replaces the 501 which had some problems with DTS dropouts. Does anyone know if these problems have been eliminated with the 511 DVD player?

I just bought a JVC 501. How severe are the DTS drop outs? Does this happen on all 501 models?
I bought an open box unit without the remote at Best Buy for $129.00. I don't yet have a DTS /Dolby Digital Receiver, but it will be in my future. I will control this DVD player with a pronto remote that I just ordered.
Any information about this unit will be appreciated.
