I AM INTERESTED IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS ANY OF THE MODIFICATIONS FOR DVD PLAYERS TO DISABLE THE ZONE PLAYING FEATURE. I RECENTLY LOOKED OVER SOME PAGES AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE SOME MODIFICATIONS HARDWARE WISE THAT LET YOU DISABLE THE FEATURE. iT BRIEFLY SAYS THAT SOME ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LIFT SOME PINS ON THE DVD-A100 OF A CHIP BUT NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS GIVEN. IF ANYONE KNOWS SOME HARDWARE MODIFICATIONS YOU CAN DO ON YOUR OWN (PREFERABLY WITHOUT BUYING A CHIP) PLEASE RESPOND.

Pioneer ones usually require a mod to the circuit board, but no chip change required. Search on the internet for it.

Samsung, I read, has a all-zone player, so no mod is required.

Can't help you on modifying your DVD player, but did find two Pioneer players that are Code/Region Free.
