I have several DVD's from Fox (Alien, Aliens, X-Files).

I noticed that I am unable to use the "Last Memo" feature on my Pioneer DV-414. The "Last Memo" feature will save the current play location being so that the DVD can be started at the same position later.

I was wondering if owners of other brands of DVD players have this problem also with similar features?

I have a Pioneer 505, and have tried the "Last Memo" feature a few times...Don't remember if I used it on the X-files movie...But I just received Aliens, so I can try it out over the weekend and let you know.

On a "just in case we missed the obvious" note, the last memo button must be pressed while in standby mode. If you press it after you press power on, it won't work. :-)

I should clarify...

I get the NOT symbol when I try to save the position while playing the titles in question.

I have also noticed this on "The Saint".

I watched Alien Resurrection last night, and at the scene just before Call breaks into the cell to find Ripley, I pressed Last Memo. Then I stopped the machine, and switches it off.

Afterwards, I press Last Memo, and it jumps back to the correct spot.

Thanks! I guess I'm going to call Pioneer and ask them what is up.
