I was shipped a title by mistake. Instead of the Dolby Digital 5.1 version, I was sent the DTS version. (My player and receiver doesn't have DTS)

When I loaded the disc, it first asks if I wanted 'DTS' or 'Dolby'. I selected Dolby, which of course, gave me only Dolby Surround.

However, I'm curious as to what happens if I'd chosen DTS. Is it going to ruin my player? I mean, I should hope not, because I have some MPEG 5.1 (some of the zone 4 discs are so crappy) discs and when I play them, I just don't get any sound.

But the fact that this disc asks me to choose a sound system before proceeding to the main menu piqued my curiosity.

Does anyone know the answer to this?

No, it won't ruin the player - either you'll simply get no sound, or the disc will refuse to play any further.
