Just a heads up.

No discrete power

All buttons are on the top and a middle atlantic RSH shelve will screw you. no way to open the tray without the remote

is this a crap design or what!

Thanks for the heads up about the toggle power.

The buttons on top are indeed Horrible. Load time on the BDP-3600 is good, though, and it has 7.1 analog outputs. The Netflix & Pandora support is pretty sweet.

Odd, Samsung usually has discretes. Perhaps this was OEM'd from someone that didn't know any better.

If enough people complain it COULD be added with a firmware update...

Buttons on top, LG had that back on the BH100 bluray...we added buttons to the face panel then wired up to I/O ports on a crestron controller 1 for power and one for eject. Worked good in our applications. Would be harder to do if no I/O ports were available...although on a MSC400 or XP-8 it would work doing a similar thing, or just use a U2 shelf and have it look bad

We have a 3600 or 3900 now in a clients house and its on a U2 because of the buttons....and no options to add buttons

using a play - stop for on and a play - power for off
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
