Ok, I purchased the above mentioned Blu Ray player as an open box item from Best Buy about a week ago. I got it for $150 which seemed like a good deal. However, one of the reasons I got it so cheap was that it didn't have the remote control. I have a gyration MCE remote at home and I figured I could look up the code and put it into that but I have not been able to find the code anywhere. Does anyone know what the code might be for this player?

I received the BD-P1500 as a gift. Nowhere can I find codes to control it. I had to teach all the commands, one by one, from the original remote to my Sony RM-VL710 universal remote.

I could teach them to my URC MX-850 remote, create a configuration file, and post it here.

Could that be of help to you?

Well, to be honest I'm not quite sure how I would enter that into the Gyration Remote. Of course I don't really know that much about this kind of stuff.

I for one would appreciate a file for the 1400; most of the codes for the 1000 from the database worked for me, but I can't find a code that works for the exit key, and for some reason I can't train my MX-3000 for that particular key (all of the other ones that didn't work from the database were learned properly). I've tried all of the usual tricks (different distances, tapping rather than holding down the key, using a book to act as a "gate" for the signal) with no success. Not having an exit key makes using the MX-3000 for the BD-P2550 a pain.

I actually got the one key I was having trouble with (the "Exit" key) to work by using the test function before I saved the learned command. Not trivial for me, since all of my laptops are Macs; I had to bring home my computer from work and install the MX-3000 editor. That did the trick, though; it took awhile, but I finally got a command that learned properly. If anyone want me to upload my device file (and you can talk me briefly through how to do it), let me know.

You just click on the FILES button at the very top of this web page. Then click on the "Send Your Files" link. Instructions are straight forward.

It's the other end I'm not sure about (exporting a device from the MX-3000 editor). Also, I'm using a commercial template, so I'd have to make sure that none of the graphics ended up in the file.
