Thanks in advance for replying, We are building a house with 17 zones for audio and 2 sub zones. we need to add intercom, three area's need surround sound system and we have to equip home theater.internet etc.
we have been advised to use russound sound system and rti remote's.
total area of the house is 11000 sq feet.

What advise can you professionals give.
What should be my reasonable budget, for prewire or total instal.

budget - hard to say without prints BUT
17 zones audio - depending on speaker selection about $40,000. I'd rack all gear.

surround sound setups depending on equipment and video selection. I'd rack all gear - allow $18k each but this isnt for actual theater rooms requiring engineering, sound attentuation devices, seating, calibration, etc. Need more info though

for the theater room, again, depending on hardware chosen and seating, I'd allow $60,000 for gear, calibration, mid level seating, engineering. Doesn't get actual wall treatments like columns, star ceilings, etc. Add another $40-50K for this.

Networking allow $2,500 for hardware and setup BUT this will not include any jacks

I'd budget, based on my above numbers, $200,000 to do your job.

Bet you had alot less in mind huh?

Be forewarned, you'll ALWAYS be able to find someone cheaper but won't always be happy with the end result.

When shopping for a contractor remember you get to choose 2 of the following: Price, quality, service. Want cheap then you pick either poor quality or poor service. Want hi quality and service - forget cheap.

Higher costs sting much less than poor quality.

russound in an 11k sqft house.... thats like buying a stove at kmart for that house.....

find a real pro...

id say 200k is a good start but could see as much as 300k to do it right...
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...
