Hey,

I just got my HDMI cable, and now whenever i use Auto/ or manually select 1080i upscalling i get a single thick vertical line at the end left of the LCD and even the movie flicker and jerks....

I re-inserted the cable, but still same thing - It happens on all DVD's.
And yes my LCD is 32" Samsung Bordeux (1366 x 768)

Please also tell how to turn-off progressive with HDMI cable transmission.

ANy idea why am not able to switch 1080i ?

PS: The picture get displayed flawless upto 720P only.

If the DVD player is sending a 1080i image then that image is too large for your monitor. 1080i is 1920x1080 resolution. Your TV is 1366x768. It's like setting the video card on your PC to a higher resolution than your monitor will support. You need to go into the settings of your DVD player and see if there is a way to limit the HDMI output to 720p.
