I just bought the 880 and I love it with the exception of one problem. Even though I enter my DVD player as a Sony DVP-CX985V it will not operate the unit. Any thoughts or advise?

Make sure the DVP-CXP985V is not using RF commands to control it. The 880 cannot control anything that uses RF for control.
