Recently, i purchased a 10 pack of colored DVD-R discs, which are compatible for recording with my recorder. They come in different colors such as orange, blue, green, etc. Just the other day, i recorded a movie with one of my orange colored discs and it recorded fine. Then i went to record another movie with a different colored disc and when it started, it stopped recording and said that i could not record on this disc. I dont know how it is that i could record on one colored disc but not another when they both are the same DVD-R disc compatible with recording on the recorder. Can anyone help me out please? Id very much appreciate it.

i find it quite common that a few discs in a pack wont work(mind you i buy 50 pack spindles). i would just try another disc of the same color and see if it works. what brand are they?
