I just invested in a sony 777es 400 disk changer and escient dvdm-100, I thought I was all set then I read that the some people say the movie information are too small to read on their screens, I dont have the escient yet its on its way so what im asking is which remote from UE will work with the escient and sony to show me cover art and dvd info. I had the nevo sl but gave it up since I could see it wasnt the favorite thing for my dealer to program, he recommended the UE hard button remotes but can I get what im looking for from a hardbutton remote like the mx-950? or does it need to be a touchscreen remote like the mx-3000 which by the way he is not fond of either?

I suggest posting your question on the RC's URC forum.

You probably get a much better response.

You need a new installer.

It sounds like he just isnt comfortable programming anything except standard learning remotes.

The Nevo SL is a good choice and Easy to program this stuff with drag and drop images.

The MX3000 is a better choice because of cataloging software available for your setup. Actually doesnt even require the Escient, but the escient is nice.

Ideally you want something with two way control and feedback.

I hear the new TSU9600 from Phillips has Escient control out of the box. I doubt this means feedback as I dont nelieve it is two RF.

The DMX-3000 software from tripleB and dvdprofiler software will work with your sony changer and an mx-3000 remote.
