The Sony DVP-CX995V doesn't play Region 2 DVD's. PAL is out. This is a Region 1 player. NTSC only.

I know I am not helping here , but tell me how do you want to deal with voltage problem. I live in US but moving soon to Europe and every time when I look at my rack full of equipment , I feel like I will have to leave it all here in US. Step down transformers are noisy and eat a lot of energy...... and what about HDMI and component inputs/outputs in Europe?. do you have any ideas ?? Thank you Rob

I have now had my mind made up for me, as i am stupid, daft as a brush and wrongly loyal to Sony for some reason, the 995 as post is not region free so i thoughts balls to it and ordered the 985 but after a couple of days the supplier told me they were having problems getting hold of one , so i have now opted for the 777, have i made good choice or bad choice(if bad dont reply, have you seen the cost in the UK.
