I am SO happy for you. What is the point of this
post?

I thought it be nice to talk to other DVD enthusiasts, like myself. To see how many DVDs they have amassed in their collection and possibly how they are being housed, that's all? My addiction started the moment I bought my first DVD. On second thought, maybe the point of the post was to assure myself that I'm not the only one who needs counseling when it comes to buying DVDs. :-)

LP - Thanks for watching my back.

Wrong forum dude...hit the One For All forum.

Personally, I have only about 25 DVDs in my living room. However, I have plenty of friends that own the other 800!

Now that's the way - I suddenly realised that I probably have access to a round 1000 DVDs. Not sure that I'll ever watch half of them though!

Sounds like a nice setup, but I would be careful (legality) if I were you.

That's sick! You're totally out of control!

That being said, "Welcome brother shnakz69 to the DVD 12 Step Club." :-) What model(s) of Sony are you using to house your collection? How's the memory holding up on the MX-3000?

i use the SONY DVP-CX995V.... im using all three sets of ir codes and the mrf-300 to address specific changers without triggering the wrong one, an ir controlled video switcher for all the connect units or connect to..believe it or not the mx3000 still has 30% memory left so there is still some room to grow..!!.. I'm afraid I don't have the will power to go cold
turkey. My love for movies, latest count - 572,
wouldn't allow me to do that. However, to ease
the compulsion of buying and possibly save a little
money at the same time, I now wait for my "wish
list" of DVDs to go on sale (drop under $10).

Absolutely, I never pay the full price for a DVD on "release day". It isn't worth the money when the DVD's are later re-released as 'collector editions', 'limited editions', 'unrated', 'directors cut' and so on. for as much as I watch them. I buy many of mine online at a site that has $10 or less prices for most of my 'wish list' and never charges shipping or sales tax so I get to buy more. :)

That's sweet!

I don't think I'll ever catch up to you, presently, 582 DVDs & 2 Sony changers, 45% mg of free space left on my TSU7000.

I would like to compare list of DVDs. I use InterVocative software, DVD Profiler, to catalog my collection.

Can you reciprocate?

We are definitely thinking alike. Check out Deep Discount DVD website when you get a chance. Wish list, no shipping charges, or sales tax, and the sales. It's a must for DVD addicts like ourselves. :-)

What's up with your DVD count? Last post, you mentioned 570. Have you taken the plunge and purchased that second changer? Can we compare DVD lists since we both use DVD Profiler? My collection link is two post above.

Can you post a reply to the following thread;

Thanks.

Great. Are you using shnakz69? Looking forward to reviewing it. I hope to find a few I have overlooked for my "DVD worthy" collection.

Oh, you gotta post a reply to
