hi all,

Happy that I found this forum. I am purchasing a dvd player but need help. I checked some (panasonic, rca) but I heard that purchasers complained of problems. For instance, they did not play all dvds etc. I just want a basic dvd player (to play copies and all). It must be region free, not too expensive etc.

thanx

For a cheap combo player I have a Sony SLV-D350P. At home for my main setup I have a Denon DVD-1600. Both machines play every DVD I throw at them, including the ones I burn. The Sony runs about $130. The Denon might be discontinued. Newr Denon's should be as good.
As far as Region free goes Apex might be a choice. Haven't kept up on region free machines.
