Please forgive a novice question: if a DVD recorder says you must use a DVD+ disk, will the recording you make play on ANY DVD player once it is finalised?
Many thanks.

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"... |

As long as it has been finalised to work on any player - some systems say closed - then yes. I have distributed a number of home videos on +R discs and they work fine on most equipment. Some players can be fussy but that has nothing to do with the + or - format

Compatibility of finalized -R and +R discs runs about the same, percentage-wise. Which is around 90%. You'll just have to make sure your machines work together and hope it works for them if you give out discs to family or friends. But it can also depend on the media you use. Taiyo Yuden has the best reputation for compatibility, and is some of the cheapest media.
