I have a computer that I do a lot of work on and watch DVD's on simultaneously. I usually have a small work area and a small DVD picture. I was wondering, is there a player out there, or a way to edit a player out there, that would play a DVD as a see through overlay like a layer in photoshop that has the alpha turned down so that you can see it but still work on the computer behind it? If so, what would it be and where would I get it? Look forward to your replys!

I have an alternate suggestion: a dual-monitor setup.

I have thought of that but I don't have the money or the space for a new video card and monitor. Any other suggestions?

theatrap,
If the DVD is not encrypted (I won't go there) you can copy the content to your hard drive and import it into a video editing program like Video Studio or the like. You can then edit the alph channels to whatever opcaity you like.

I know, I know, a lot of work but you didn't ask for easy or quick did you :>)

um, yeah, but that wont work. That would work to put a video or image behind it, but I want to access my work area. I guess there must not be a way as of yet though. Too bad.
