All,

What do you all think about this DVD player from Denon? Model number is 2910. It has a DVI and HDMI output. The DVI output is HDCP compliant. It cost around six to seven hundred dollars. Any thoughts? Please let us know.

Thanks,

you may notice depending on what line processor, scaler you are using dvi or hdmi may not be the best for image quality... for dvd players with good scaler i use 480i component only. the scaler will always be better than the chipset of the dvd player.

dvi hdmi tends to bypas the scaler

hope that helps

Actually the scaler on Denon only works on the DVI or HDMI outputs.

what i ment to say is a scaler will always be better than the internal processing of the dvd player...... 480i to outboard scaler in my opinion is always better than 480p or 720 out the dvd player

I am pulling out the 2910 and I am using the oppo 971h. I is 150.00 and i did a side by side comparison to the 2910 and the 2910 did not stand a chance. also it came with dvi to dvi and dvi to hdmi cables . I strongly advise you to check it out. I am buying one as my shop as a tester.
