Any sellers do you get asked about CDG capabilty on DVD players much nowadays?
Karaoke is still as popular as ever here in the UK (pop idol and X factor make it more so)it seems silly that very few players have CDG functionality.
Yes i know that Karaoke can be on DVD discs(for greedy reasons they still only put fifteen or so songs on most karaoke DVD's) but most of the back catalogue from sunfly ,soundchoice etc is on CDG.

CD+G really never did anything over here... just like the short-lived PhotoCD format.

Actually, CD + G is very popular here amongst DJ's, VJ's, and vastly popular amongst most if not all Oriental people here in the good 'ol US of A. We have done Karaoke systems here, but the majority of these customers are Oriental. They have a great appreciation of Karaoke. I have a Vocopro Karaoke DVD player which is a lot of fun, even though I can't really sing. I have a thread on this forum under DVD, which has had no responses to my questions. Just goes to show you how unpopular it must be here in the USA. Daniel is right on the money on that one.

Definitely was an old thread, but I know Mr. Griffith's love for karaoke hasn't changed much in the past two years. :)
