I have this new Samsung HD 841..it has DVI out. But my High Def TV is one of the last Panasonics not to have a DVI input. PT 53WX42. Is there any conversion possible through an HDTV box? The picture is really super with Compent hookup. But in the showroom it is even better with the DVI connection.

I have seen a box you can buy which will convert DVI/HDCP to VGA. You could then use a VGA to component video cable. This solution would run you more than the price of your DVD player though. If I remember where I saw this device I will post a link for you. I'd say you are going to limited to component video. If there was an improvement in the picture using the above described method it would not be really be worth it due to the cost involved.
